Want to study abroad and learn through a new lens? Kickstart a career in international business with an internship? Or learn a new language? It's all possible with a Prime Minister's Scholarship.
The Prime Minister's Scholarships are funded by the New Zealand Government and administered by Education New Zealand Manapou ki te Ao to support New Zealanders on learning experiences in Asia and Latin America.
We offer flexible funding to support both short and long term programmes including study abroad / exchange, internships, postgraduate study, and language programmes.
Applications for the 2023 group scholarship round are now closed.
Who can apply?
You can apply for the scholarship if you are at least 18 years old at the date of applying, and are a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
We welcome applicants from all stages and walks of life - you don't need to be studying!

What do the scholarships cover?
The scholarships cover tuition fees for offshore institutions (not NZ fees), flights, and a contribution towards internship fees, living, accommodation, visa and insurance costs.
